A festival with the presence of the country's top livestock companies

The Razavi Livestock and Dairy Industries Company has recently focused on breeding and raising livestock with superior genetic and economic traits by utilizing the technical capabilities of its employees and specialists, as well as top national consultants, which was showcased at this national festival.

The journey taken

The Razavi Livestock and Dairy Industries Company began its serious efforts in September 2020 with the aim of creating a superior generation for the future of Holstein dairy cows in the West Asia region, to establish a genetically elite herd in the Koneh Bist livestock complex for the first time in the country.

This program was so key and strategic that it was inaugurated by the custodian of the Astan Quds Razavi to continue with maximum capacity and support, allowing Iran to achieve independence in terms of livestock genetics and also in the gene line of Holstein cattle.

Continuing this breeding program, in August of this year, the final phase of the development of the Koneh Bist livestock complex was re-launched with the presence of the custodian of the Astan Quds, so that upon its completion, in addition to genetic advancement in dairy cows, we would witness an increase in the production capacity of meat and milk as well as the employment rate of this complex to more than 5,000 people.

The outcome of all these efforts has now resulted in the Razavi Livestock and Dairy Industries Company winning the top position at the national festival of this industry, earning a gold medal in heifer calves, a silver medal in the pregnant heifer class, and a bronze medal in the second lactation class.

At the third national Holstein cow festival in Iran, held from November 8 to 11 with the presence of 13 reputable livestock companies in the country, the animals submitted by the company were judged based on 15 criteria.

The leadership of Razavi Livestock Industries in recent years

The CEO of the Razavi Livestock and Dairy Industries Company stated about the actions taken in this complex in recent years: Given the macro policies of the Astan Quds Razavi Endowment Foundation and the objectives set for the role of this complex in ensuring the country's food security, the development plan for the Razavi Koneh Bist livestock complex began in early summer 2023 to enhance both the quantity and quality of livestock production, and to strengthen this complex's role in ensuring food security in the eastern part of the country and creating jobs in impoverished and marginalized areas of Mashhad.

Arash Farzadenia continued: With the implementation of the development plan for the Razavi Koneh Bist livestock complex, the production and breeding capacity will increase from about 2,500 breeding livestock to 5,000 breeding livestock, and about 100 tons of milk will be added to the annual production capacity of this unit.

According to him, assisting the country in achieving self-sufficiency in the production of standard IMF GRADE milk to increase the amount of infant formula production in the country is also another ongoing program at the Razavi Livestock and Dairy Industries Company.
