A festival featuring the top livestock companies in the country

The Razavi Dairy and Livestock Industries Company has recently focused on breeding and raising livestock with superior genetic and economic traits by leveraging the technical capabilities of its employees and experts, as well as top national consultants, the results of which were showcased in this national festival.

The journey taken

The Razavi Dairy and Livestock Industries Company began its serious efforts in September 2020 with the aim of creating a superior generation of Holstein dairy cattle in West Asia, in order to establish an elite genetic herd at the Koneh Bist Livestock Complex for the first time in the country.

This program was so pivotal and strategic that it was inaugurated by the custodian of the Astan Quds Razavi to continue with maximum capability and support, enabling Iran to achieve genetics independence in livestock, as well as in the gene line of Holstein cattle.

Continuing this breeding program, in August of this year, the final phase of the development of the Koneh Bist Livestock Complex was launched again with the presence of the custodian of the Astan Quds, so that upon its completion, in addition to genetic advancements in dairy cattle, we would witness an increase in the capacity for meat and milk production and create over 5,000 jobs within the complex.

All of these efforts have resulted in the Razavi Dairy and Livestock Industries Company achieving the top rank at the national festival of this industry, winning a gold medal for female calves, a silver medal in the pregnant heifer class, and a bronze medal in the second lactation class.

In the third national Holstein cow festival of Iran, which took place from October 30 to November 2 with the participation of 13 reputable livestock companies in the country, the cattle from the company were judged based on 15 criteria.

The leadership of Razavi Dairy Industries in recent years

The CEO of the Razavi Dairy and Livestock Industries Company stated regarding the actions taken in this collection in recent years: Considering the macro policies of the Astan Quds Razavi Endowment and the objectives set for the role of this collection in ensuring the country's food security, the development plan for the Razavi Koneh Bist Livestock Complex was initiated in early summer 2023 to not only increase the quantity and quality of livestock production but also to enhance this collection's role in ensuring food security in the eastern part of the country and creating employment in marginalized and suburban areas of Mashhad.

Arash Farzadenia continued: With the implementation of the development plan for the Razavi Koneh Bist Livestock Complex, the capacity for livestock production and breeding will increase from about 2,500 breeding animals to 5,000 breeding animals, and approximately 100 tons of milk will be added to the annual production capacity of this unit.

According to him, helping the country achieve self-sufficiency in the production of standard IMF GRADE milk in order to increase the amount of infant formula production in the country is another ongoing program at the Razavi Dairy and Livestock Industries Company.
