The mission of Parsa Polymer is to provide a comprehensive and complete option in the field of raw materials for customers and partner companies. The goal is to address customer concerns regarding quality and to create a balance between quality and price. We have had an innovation center for several years and are actively working on the development of various products. We have several new products at the exhibition. One of them is a material that manufacturers can use for color change in injection and compounding, which quickly cleans the cylinder and significantly increases the speed of product transfer and change in the production process. It is one of our special products, and of course, we have also introduced other products..

What is your production capacity per year, your market share in the country, and your export share from your productions?

Parsa Polymer Sharif has increased its capacity significantly over the past few years and has reached a real capacity of over 25000 tons. We have a good share in the technology product market, and as I mentioned, we have tried to address customer concerns.

What are the three major challenges in polymer industries?

The polymer industries face many challenges, but the first challenge is the supply situation of materials, which is very chaotic. For example, in the polyethylene sector, you see that the offered price in the stock market is good and sometimes lower than the global price, but in a series of products like polypropylene, the raw materials are even more expensive than the global market, while it is considered the most important material in the compounding field. This imbalance in the supply of raw materials is the main problem. The second problem relates to exports, where laws and regulations are changing rapidly, and there is always anxiety and concern about exports for us. The third issue is the stability of the country's economy and sudden changes in currency, which makes future planning difficult. On the one hand, there is an attempt to inject currency in a directive manner, which is highly inflationary.

Predictability of the economic situation is a very important issue. We do not expect and should not expect the currency price to be stable, but it should have a relationship with inflation.

Another point is this limited interaction with the world, which imposes high costs on exports. In international agreements and in the matter of preferential tariffs, we practically have no place, and compared to competitors, we are always at least 5 percent behind at least in terms of tariffs. Our logistics costs are very high, and many times the product price, without considering logistics, is highly competitive, but when this cost is added, we lose the market.

What impact do specialized exhibitions have on the development of your market? What is your possible criticism of Iran Plast and your suggestions for future editions?

Specialized exhibitions are just a very good opportunity for suppliers and customers to see each other closely. It is a space and opportunity for more serious interaction. But I believe there is no necessity for the Iran Plast exhibition to be held every year. I suggest it should be held every two or three years. Unfortunately, it has gone in such a way that there are interests created in holding this exhibition, and some are inclined to hold it every year. It imposes a lot of costs on companies, while we see that most exhibitions around the world are held every two or three years. In any case, we have to be optimistic regarding our economic activities. If we are not, we should shut down.

How do you assess the economic outlook of the new government and its effects on your business?

I hope that the current government, which at least has more rationality in their words than the previous government, will succeed. One part goes back to their performance and interactions and whether they are allowed to work and ultimately be able to establish a closer relationship with the community. This will reduce the gap between the government and the people. I hope they can also reduce tensions in the international arena, although the other side is very decisive and has more weight than us.
