1. Lead-Acid Batteries:

Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries: Due to their specific design, they require less maintenance and are available in various types such as AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) and Gel.

Flooded Lead Acid batteries: They require more maintenance and are used for applications where batteries with a longer lifespan are needed.

2. Lithium-Ion Batteries:

Features: Lithium-ion batteries have a longer lifespan, lower weight, and higher energy density compared to lead-acid batteries. Due to their high efficiency and low maintenance requirements, these batteries are used in modern UPSs and active equipment.

Advantages: Longer life, faster charging, and no need for constant maintenance.

Disadvantages: Higher cost compared to lead-acid batteries.

3. Nickel-Cadmium Batteries:

Features: These types of batteries are suitable for specific conditions requiring operation at high temperatures or harsh conditions. Compared to other types, these batteries have a longer lifespan.

Advantages: Resistance to high temperatures, long lifespan.

Disadvantages: Memory effect, which can reduce the battery capacity, and they require special maintenance.

4. Sodium-Nickel Chloride Batteries:

Features: These types of batteries are mostly used in industrial applications and large equipment. They provide more energy than lithium-ion batteries and perform better under specific conditions, such as in areas with higher temperatures.

Advantages: Long lifespan, high capacity, performance in high temperatures.

Disadvantages: High cost and limitations in specific applications.

5. Flow Batteries:

Features: These types of batteries are mainly used in large energy storage projects and electrical grids. Flow batteries use liquid electrolyte to store energy.

Advantages: High capacity, suitable for large-scale use.

Disadvantages: Larger size, complexity in design and maintenance.
